Context
Callixte Nzabonimana was a member of the ruling MRND party at both national and prefectural levels and at various times between 1989 and 1994, held the positions of Minister of Planning and later, Minister of Youth and Associative Movements within the Government of Rwanda. He remained in the cabinet until July 1994, when the Interim Government fled into exile.
