Context

Saleh Mohammed Jerbo Jamus was alleged Chief of Staff of the Justice and Equality Movement — Sudan (JEM-S). He was charged with war crimes allegedly committed in an attack against the African Union Peacekeeping Mission in Sudan (AMIS) on 29 September 2007. The case was initially joined with that of Abdallah Banda. Proceedings against him were terminated on 4 October 2013 following confirmation of his passing.
