Context

Muammar Mohammed Abu Minyar Gaddafi was the leader of the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya. He was suspected of crimes against humanity allegedly committed across Libya from 15 until at least 28 February 2011. Proceedings were terminated on 22 November 2011 following confirmation of his death on 20 October 2011.
