Context

Mohammed Diab Ibrahim Al-Masri, commonly known as 'Deif', was alleged Commander of the military wing of Hamas. A warrant of arrest was issued against him on 21 November 2024 for alleged crimes against humanity and war crimes committed on the territory of Israel and the State of Palestine from at least 7 October 2023. Proceedings were terminated on 26 February 2025 following the Prosecution's notification of his death.
