Context

Mathieu Ngudjolo Chui was an alleged leader of the Front des nationalistes et intégrationnistes (FNI) operating in the Ituri region of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He was charged with crimes against humanity and war crimes allegedly committed during an attack against the village of Bogoro on 24 February 2003. He was acquitted by Trial Chamber II on 18 December 2012. The acquittal was confirmed on appeal on 7 April 2015.
