Context

Mahmoud Mustafa Busayf Al-Werfalli was a commander in the Al-Saiqa Brigade, affiliated with the Libyan National Army. He was charged with the war crime of murder in connection with seven incidents involving 33 persons in Benghazi and surrounding areas between June 2016 and July 2017. Two warrants of arrest were issued against him. Proceedings were terminated on 15 June 2022 following the Prosecution's notification of his passing.
