Context
Khaled Mohamed Ali El Hishri is suspected of crimes against humanity and war crimes allegedly committed in Libya from February 2015 to early 2020. He was arrested by German authorities on 16 July 2025 pursuant to the ICC warrant of arrest and surrendered to the ICC on 1 December 2025. The confirmation of charges hearing is scheduled for May 2026
