Context

Beina is alleged to be a member of anti-Balaka forces operating in the Central African Republic. He is suspected of responsibility for crimes committed during the 2013–2014 conflict, including attacks against civilians and related acts of violence. On 12 September 2025, Pre-trial Chamber II determined that the Central African Republic is willing and able to genuinely investigate and prosecute the case against Mr Beina and that the case against Mr Beina is inadmissible before the ICC.
